Agricultural Drainage Design and Investigations

Drainage Evaluations

Projects are evaluated to determine existing and future potential drainage problems. Field investigations, groundwater modeling and assessment of natural drainage features are implemented to identify and characterize water table rise and fate of deep percolation losses. Studies also include evaluation of irrigation system efficiency and system losses to examine the influence of improved system performance on drainage requirements.

Drainage System Design

The latest drainage design and construction techniques are used to develop economical solutions to drainage problems. Designs, drawings, specifications, bid packages and construction supervision services are provided. Designs can be completed at the feasibility or final design levels.

Drainage System Performance Analysis

Existing systems are analyzed to determine adequacy and limitations with recommendations for repair, replacement or modification. Where historical water level data are available, forecasts of potential future changes in system adequacy and planning for rectification of limitations can be completed.

Water Quality and Environmental Impact

In relation to irrigation projects, studies to determine the impact on basin water quality and ecology with opportunities for remediation or modification are completed.
